Direct answer. The pass depends on the mountain. Epic covers Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, and Telluride. Ikon covers Aspen Snowmass, Steamboat, Winter Park, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin. A trip that stays in one town needs one pass. A trip that moves between an Epic town and an Ikon town needs either both passes or day tickets for the shorter stay. The Colorado Concierge confirms the right pass for your mountains and dates and purchases it on your behalf at face value.

Pass or day tickets
Both programs sell full-season passes and limited-day products, and both price day tickets at the window well above the per-day cost of a pass. As a rule, a stay of four or more ski days is usually cheaper on a pass product, and a stay of one to three days is usually cheaper on advance-purchase day tickets. Pass prices rise in stages through the autumn and sales close in early winter, so the decision is made when the trip is booked, not on arrival. Exact prices change each season and are confirmed at the time of purchase.
Mixed groups
Children, beginners, and non-skiers do not all need the same product. A typical family booking combines full passes for the skiers, a limited-day product for the occasional skier, and lesson packages that include lift access for beginners. The Colorado Concierge itemises this per guest before purchasing.
How purchase works
Passes and tickets are bought at face value on your behalf once the mountains and dates are confirmed. There is no fee for pass arrangement when it is part of a planned trip. Passes are issued in each guest's name and collected or delivered in resort according to the resort's own process.
FAQ
Can I use one pass in Vail and Aspen?
No. Vail is Epic and Aspen is Ikon. A trip that visits both needs both passes or day tickets for one of them.
Is Breckenridge on Ikon?
No. Breckenridge is Epic, along with Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Crested Butte, and Telluride.
When do pass sales end?
Each program closes full-pass sales in early winter, with prices increasing in steps before that. Timing is confirmed for the season when the trip is booked.
Do you charge for buying passes?
No. Passes are purchased at face value as part of a planned trip.
What about lift access for ski lessons?
Many lesson packages include lift access for the lesson day. This is checked before a separate pass is bought for a beginner.
