Winter Park

Closest to Denver, far from ordinary.

The nearest major mountain to Denver — reachable by road or by rail — with Mary Jane's storied terrain and an unpolished, authentic valley. We bring the concierge layer it's been missing.

Winter Park, Handled

Winter Park is Denver's home mountain — the closest major resort to the city, and the only one you can reach by train from Union Station. It pairs approachable, authentic valley life with Mary Jane, a mountain that serious skiers respect for its bumps and steeps. It's the least pretentious of Colorado's big resorts, and quietly getting more refined.

We add what the valley hasn't traditionally offered: luxury homes, private chefs, and a concierge who makes the easy-to-reach mountain feel genuinely elevated.

Getting Here

The arrival

Winter Park is about ninety minutes and 67 miles from Denver International (DEN) — the closest major resort to the city. Uniquely, the seasonal Winter Park Express train runs from Denver's Union Station right to the mountain base; we can build the whole arrival around the rail for a car-free trip, or coordinate private transfers.

Good Questions

Winter Park, answered

Why choose Winter Park over the I-70 resorts?

It's the closest major mountain to Denver, it's reachable by train, and it's less crowded and less pretentious than the marquee I-70 resorts — while Mary Jane gives strong skiers terrain to respect. For proximity and authenticity, it's hard to beat.

Can you really take a train to Winter Park?

Yes — the seasonal Winter Park Express runs from Denver's Union Station directly to the mountain base on winter weekends and holidays. It's one of the only car-free ski arrivals in the country, and we handle the timing and transfers around it.

What is Mary Jane known for?

Mary Jane is the section of Winter Park famous for its ungroomed bumps, trees, and steep terrain — a favorite of experienced skiers. The resort pairs it with more approachable terrain, so mixed-ability groups are well served.
