The Colorado Concierge guide

Booking Colorado hotels through a Fora advisor: rates and perks

Direct answer. Booking a Colorado hotel through The Colorado Concierge, a Fora-affiliated advisor, costs the same as booking direct. There is no fee for hotel-only bookings. At participating properties, Fora partner benefits are requested on your behalf; these vary by hotel and are confirmed at booking, not guaranteed in advance. The advisor is paid a commission by the hotel, which does not change your rate.

How the rate works

The advisor books the hotel's published or best available rate, the same rate shown on the hotel's own website for your dates. The hotel pays the advisor a commission from that rate. You do not pay more, and The Colorado Concierge does not add a booking fee for hotel-only reservations.

What the perks are

Fora holds partner status with a number of hotel groups and independent properties. At those properties, an advisor booking can include benefits such as a room upgrade on availability, daily breakfast, a property credit, early check-in or late check-out, and a welcome note from the general manager. The specific benefits depend on the hotel and the partner program it belongs to, and are confirmed in writing with the reservation.

Not every hotel participates. Where a property has no partner program, the booking is made at the same rate as direct with no added benefits, and you are told this before booking.

Colorado properties

Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Denver, and Telluride each have landmark hotels that participate in advisor partner programs. Which ones apply to your dates is confirmed at inquiry.

When a hotel is the right choice

A hotel suits a couple, a short stay, a trip where daily housekeeping and a spa matter, or a group that wants separate rooms rather than a shared home. Private homes suit families and groups of six or more who want a chef, a shared living space, and a single check-in. The Colorado Concierge books both and will state which is the better fit for the trip.

FAQ

Is the rate really the same as booking direct?

Yes. The advisor books the hotel's own rate for your dates. The hotel pays the advisor's commission; it is not added to your bill.

Are perks guaranteed?

No. Benefits are requested at booking and confirmed by the hotel in writing. Upgrades are always subject to availability at check-in.

Can you use my loyalty points or status?

Yes. Your loyalty number is attached to the reservation at booking. You earn points on the stay and your status benefits apply, alongside any Fora partner benefits.

Do you book hotels outside Colorado?

Yes, through JAE Luxury Travel, the parent advisory. The Colorado Concierge handles Colorado; trips that combine Colorado with another destination are planned by JAE Luxury Travel.

What is Fora?

Fora is a travel advisor network. The Colorado Concierge is affiliated with Fora through JAE Luxury Travel, IATA 33520476, which is what gives access to partner rates and benefits.
